About PutGenieBack.Org

Our New Mission Has Just Begun

Seeing that there are many others sharing this same mission to help protect children from unsafe products based on new technologies, I chose to create this site. The goal of the site is to recognize the work done by so many, in so many different disciplines to protect children and reverse the harm already inflicted. This site is provided to inform the public, provide information and resources to help. it is also provided to bring together these resource providers together as a community. It is hoped that this synergy can accelerate the rate at which their efforts can bear fruit.

This website is intended to collect and disseminate information about those that are on this journey, from different disciplines yet with one goal:
To help protect children from the unbridled evolution of technology. Thank you for your willingness to be on this journey with us. Kenneth M. Woog, BSEE, Psy.D. MBA.

Kenneth Woog, BSEE, Psy.D., MBA

Dr. Kenneth Woog founded LNW Research, one of the earliest personal computer companies with two college roommates in 1978. After LNW, Dr. Woog founded several computer hardware and software companies and in 1999 decided to study how human psychology can inform computer design. After his first MA in Psychology, Dr. Woog’s interest in psychology had turned clinical. While completing his pre-doc internship, Dr. Woog was referred, coincidentally, two 15 year old males struggling with video game addiction. Working with these two clients resulted in a change of his choice of dissertation to “A Survey of Mental Health Professionals Clinical Exposure to Problematic Computer Use”, completed in 2004. This survey identified the number of clients seen, their ages, problematic uses and effective methods for treatment.

Dr. Woog earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2004, became licensed as a psychologist and by 2007 made video game addiction treatment his sole specialization founding the Computer Gaming Addiction Treatment Clinic and subsequently the Computer Addiction Treatment Program in 2016. Dr. Woog and son Timothy Woog designed and manufactured the PC Moderator Device (2005) in support of the behavioral treatment protocol and ultimately designed the Sentinel Gaming Systems Computers (now Sentinel Computers) for the same purpose in 2015. Dr. Woog has also, since 2001, been employed by Pepperdine University at the Pepperdine Resource, Youth Diversion and Education program. This program provides juvenile diversion and youth and family counseling for the Orange County Sheriff's Department in Orange County California. Dr. Woog's experience in working with adolescents and their families has introduced him to many other risks posed by products of recent technological advances such as E-bikes, vaping, high potency THC, fentanyl and AI.
